Planning on installing electric cutout, using this thread as reference<p> <A HREF="http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=102021&page=1" TARGET="_blank">http://forums.swedespeed.com/z...age=1</A><p>Has anyone done the electric cutout, with help on a good way to wire it?<p>Pics, video, advice would all be greatly appreciated.<p>Will the O2 bung on the Y pipe prevent CELs for sure? <p>thanks in advance.

I loved it til the day I decided to pass it on to a friend (with a Lexus IS300 - man that thing sounds sweet now!!!). <p>Run the wire through the rubber seal / grommet underneath the back seat and wire it the rest of the way like you would any audio wires. I had my switch installed in the knee area on the left of the steering wheel. Does that make sense?<p>Yes, an O2 bung will prevent a CEL.<p>Expect 8-10bhp from this mod by the way!! <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthup.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthup.gif" BORDER="0"> <p>Good luck! I think I am going to go with DMH performance's cutout they seem to have a better built motor and don't have seals getting loose as often as QTP based on VW community's feedback, also the 4 year warranty is a plus.<p><A HREF="http://www.dmhperformance.com/ecutout.htm" TARGET="_blank">http://www.dmhperformance.com/ecutout.htm</A>

Thats a pretty good price as well. 200$ plus the ready to install Y pipe is sweet.

My fabricator wants to go balls to the wall with my exhaust but being that its my DD ill probably keep it tame and do a cut out on the downpipe.

haah prob gonna get it done in waco, but I'll def show you when I am back chris, and mine will be a humble 3 inch <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/biggrin.gif" BORDER="0"> planning do it right after the turbo with the least angle possible. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthup.gif" BORDER="0"> <p>This car is my DD too but this would be a nice thing to have at AutoX <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/biggrin.gif" BORDER="0">

You should check out the V70R that had it done! It's perfectly placed on the downpipe, I think!
