Ok. I have been having major issues with the Pirelli tires and was getting crazy vibrations.
I decided to pull the trigger on 255/35/21 Michelin tires and problem gone. Even found out my wheels are not bent. The comfort now is next level. SO much better over potholes.

Did your Pirellis has PNCS (noise cancelling foam)? Foam movement/detachment has created issues for numerous folks, including myself.

My next tires won't have inner foam.

Good call. Some of that comfort over potholes might be because you're now running slightly taller sidewalls, so there's a little more to absorb the impacts.

Any rubbing issues with the 255? are you using any spacers? I have a set of 21-inch wheels and want to figure out a good tire size.

Just did a 3000 km trip on the new tires. No rubbing and they ride great. I drove average about 160km/h through germany and it was very good
I am not running any spacers or any.
Its on the 21 inch oem wheels
