My friends 1992 245 has had some issues after driving up a steep driveway.

It started to idle in pulses and sometimes will stall the engine.
The simple tests we have done were:

-Pull fuel pump and check internal hoses for visible damage.
-Spray brake cleaner on intake to check for leaks
-Unplug MAF to check if the issue goes away.

Not a ton of luck with any of those, but the fact that it started when it went up an incline makes us think it is fluid related.

Here is a reference video with the MAF being unplugged. The pulsing reduces when the MAF is unplugged.

Have you checked the in tank fuel pump? Or are you just referring to the external pump.

There is a Sock Filter inside the tank, on the inlet to the in tank pump, The incline may have moved some crap in the tank and clogged that.

Yes, pulled that completely out, did not look to be clogged, not really anything stuck to the sock.

Several days, the same issue starts. We have cleaned the MAF, tested the resistances. Checked again for intake vacuum leaks.

Seems like it gets worse when it gets warm. We are more thinking it's related to the IAC or engine temperature sensor.
