About 10 mins later I found a puddle of wiper fluid under the front bumber.
I read on this site some where and seen a thread on how to fix this. I cant find it anymore.
Any one know what the story is and what it is that I need to replace? I am fixin to order some parts from FCP and don't want to make two orders.
Thanks ahead of time for any suggestions and help!
JD.

Re: Puddle under front bumper. (DVolvoguy777)

If you stick your head under your bumper you may find that the problem is simply just a broken hose connecting the tank to one of the pumps (I know the rear is external, not sure about the front). It could also be that your front pump died and is leaking.

That's a picture of the pump, the tank is cut off on the upper side of the image.

I am going to look at that soon as I get home. I am hoping that the plastic connecter on the pump is not cracked and the pump is kind spendy.
Thanks for your help with this. ^5s to you for the picture!

The rear pump isn't too bad. I just replaced it from Groton for $35 if my head is still on straight.

Re: (DVolvoguy777)

Well it isn't gone yet, 316K+ last time I checked and still running like a champ. I would have liked to have saved it, but college is way to expensive for that to happen right now. I'm hoping that it will last until I'm out, and can afford to figure something out. Obviously that body is shot, but being an engineer and a diehard Volvo man I'm not sure that I can just let it be retired to the junk yard. The engine, tranny, heck the whole car except the body are in damn fine shape.
I like the 850, no major complaints except for the front suspension falling apart. I'm still partial to the feel of RWD, but as far as FWD goes the 850 isn't terrible by any means.
Good luck with the fix.
