What is the "safe" limit of PSI that you can go to, without blown head gaskets everytime you start the thing....? And how do you raise the PSI?

I've heard from a reputable source that after 15psi, you are looking at turbo meltdown. Now, I'm not sure if the person has experienced this but he could very well be right. I would say since I haven't blown any head gaskets yet, that you're safe up to 15psi. As far as adjusting it yourself, I don't know if thats a good idea. I have heard of people adjusting their wastegates, but that might yield some bad results if you have boost spike.

Re: (V50pballer)

Where can i go to get it "tuned" and howmuch will it cost? Also, what is yours tuned to? I want to still keep the reliability, but also get the most out of my turbo....

Re: (S40T5Lover)

You can get it tuned by one of the major tuners:<br><A HREF="http://www.eurosporttuning.ca/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=PPC-Volvo&Category_Code=VL-S40-V50-en" TARGET="_blank">RICA</A> - $995<br><A HREF="http://www.ipdusa.com/Volvo-S40-2004.5-2008/Performance/Softloader-Hardware-&-Software/p-135-632-1762" TARGET="_blank">iPd/MTE</A> - $1145 - $1295<br><A HREF="http://www.partsforvolvosonline.com/product_info.php?cPath=28_270_471&products_id=2792" TARGET="_blank">BSR</A> - $850<p>The iPd/MTE is kind of unique. You use your laptop and the software and hardware they provide. For the $1295 price, you get 2 extra software that logs your data and such.<p>Edit:<br>You can also buy Rica from VivaPerformance:<br><A HREF="http://www.vivaperformance.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=69_76&products_id=205" TARGET="_blank">http://www.vivaperformance.com...d=205</A><BR><BR>
