I snapped a couple quick picts before dropping the R off at the dealership. I was just starting to get use to driving around without boost.

Thanks to the Dave and the guys at California Tint in Vienna, VA for a great job. Just under two hours and I was out the door. I went with 30% on the sides and 20% on the rear hatch. When I get the V70R back from the dealer I'll snap some more picts.
If you are in the DC Metro area give them a call: 703-757-9535.

You gotta stop, NOW! It's starting to look almost as good as mine
I wouldn't have gone so dark in the rear hatch, (I went 35% on the rear), it may be a bit hard to see out of at night

Re: Project V70R: Window tint (JRL)

the rear looks to be just a tad darker than the sides. Its still lighter than the tint I had on my '00 V70R. I actually like having the rear window dark to help cut down on the direct assault of the truck headlights.

I have 20% in the rear. It's actually not that bad. As Chris mentioned, I went dark because of those stupid lifted trucks (in Los Angeles )

I really want to tint our R, but does anyone know if it's easy to remove to return off-lease? I would imagine they would charge me some penalty if I left it on.

Re: Project V70R: Window tint (Dashdog)

All my previous four leased Volvos came with tint and were returned with tint. No problems. (V70T5 was even returned with IPD ECU and exhaust) Dealer just handed me the keys to the R.

So they don't know stock from $25K in aftermarket mods (if done somewhat stealthily). I haven't been in the business as long as Yannis or JRL, but I have yet to see someone get charged for IMPROVING the vehicle

STOP IT... You're killing me!! Why Volvo had to introduce sonic blue after I bought my V70R I will never know. You're in Ashburn? I drive up there fairly frequently. Had my car in for service at Don Beyer a few weeks ago.
-A
Re: Project V70R: Window tint (MineMapper)

I paid $270. Not the cheapest out there, but they appear to have done quality work. I also called that morning, dropped the car off at lunch, and was able to pick it up after work.

Re: Project V70R: Window tint ([email protected])

I just called to schedule the window tinting for my car.
$175 for standard 35% tint.
Evidently, tinting does not affect inspection in PA since 1998 (I believe). It's just that police may have a problem with anything lower.
But 35% is just fine. Why would I want it any darker? People wouldn't be able to see who is in this fine ride then.
I just need to order some new reverse/fog light bulbs as per 'R' Kelly's thread. I think I'll skip the new housings though...$700+...
