Project 245 - Pet Proofing the Car

While performance upgrades are a big focus for many Volvo owners, many more have other priorities for their cars, and this is no different for our staff and Project 245. Hauling a certain German Shorthair Pointer around in the back is one of many purposes the 245 serves, and the dog's short wiry white hairs seemingly have a plan of their own to invade the interior of the stationwagon.

Read more about it on our main page or in our Features section monday 4.29.02.

I like the German Shorthaired Pointer - Priceless. ahha, nice touch. Cool dog too.
Thanks, I had to find some way to weasal the mutt into it. He rocks, though I curse him every time I vacuum the cars. Oh well, wouldn't trade him for the world.
Maybe you should of gotten a cat instead? j/k~~ Hehe..I like that shot of the dog, pretty cool pic with the 240 logo in the back and all.

My cousin just took a 6+ hour trip back to Rochester with my cat, sounded like she was pretty okay with long trip.

When my wife and I travel, the back seat of the 940 gets filled with the following:

1 Cat
1 Rabbit
2 Parakeets
1 Cockatiel
1 Greek Tortoise
1 Betta Fish

Luckily, they all have carriers, and the 940 has leather, so fur/feather/scale infestation is kept to a minimum. I took the old family dog for a ride in my 240 once, years ago, and I'm still finding his hair in the carpet!

But why does it say "V70 XC" at the bottom?

I once bought a section of carpet from a 245 at a junkyard. It was an obvious pet and kit mobile. I spent a good 15-20 minutes vacuuming it slowly to get all the dog hair and crumbs out of the carpet, but I think all that crap was protecting it, because now it looks great!
Dog gone it, V70 XC is what is written in my template for photoshop. I forgot to lable it. I'll have to do that when I do the updates next week.

Maybe that is the dog's name.

No, it's Lupo. Yes, it's after a VW, but no the wife named him. He's German, so's VW, it's okay.

So he is named after a car.

And the title of the window is "VWvortex Volkswagen Audi", but maybe I only noticed that because I opened the frame in a new window.

That reminds me of a funny discussion at VWvortex about car related pet names. There was some guy with a dog named "Eibach", and there was some quote like "hey man, someone lowered your dog!"

That's pretty funny. Come to think of it, Eibach wouldn't be a bad name for a dog.
