I have a two-week old 2022 XC60 T8 Inscription. Upon picking up the car I was able to pair the Volvo Cars app (which I understand used to be called Volvo on Call) with the car. It's not an extremely useful app in its current development state but I did like the ability to lock and unlock the car remotely and should be able to precondition. About a week ago I saw on my phone the app was no longer paired with the car, but on the car screen under Profiles-Volvo On Call it says the app IS paired with my iPhone. Also says I can go to the app to unpair my phone but the only screen the app will present is to PAIR it with the car...but the car says it's paired and go the app. I've called the VOC reps (who have been excellent and patient) and they have had me repeat several things I had already done: delete and reinstall the app, create a completely new Volvo ID, restart the Google infotainment (holding Home button for 20-30 seconds), deleting my Google account from the car and re-signing in. Maybe some more things, but nothing has worked. Finally they suggested a system reboot and asked me to try holding the front defrost button for 1 minute to restart the whole system They warned it can take hours to complete. Well, that may work on the Sensus system but nothing happens on my Google Android system. Both VOC and my dealership service department have said they really don't have any documentation yet on this new system and are sort of flying blind. My dealer has contacted Volvo to try to get guidance.
Has anyone else had this problem, or better yet, had the problem and solved it?
