I have one of those hood grills on my car, and they come with a new latch to work with the new grill. It uses a small bent wire instead of the larger plastic piece like on the stock latch. At first I thought it would break the first time I used it because it looks kind of fragile, but it's been fine with no problems.

I just ordered one and the sales rep said "We have adressed this issue and include a small part to divert the latch" I guess that answers my question. Ill try and post up some pics after i get it installed!

Did you move your horns yet?
Hey...Sean, it's always nice to see that clean T5-R of yours. If I can make a bold suggestion on your already arse-kicking ride..maybe you want to consider using a larger emblem or something else to occupy that big grille. Nothing too extreme...but just thought the emblem is too small for the grille...or you should just leave it blank.

Just a thought...

I thouoght it looked a bit nude, and I did not want something to big. Besides I just paid all that money to get rid of a big emblem. I would like it a bit bigger, that is the same emblem that is on the trunk lid and I can not find anything else bigger that looks good and not just s cheap sticker.

Sean,

Yeah..I do agree with you, it is hard to find the right emblem to pu there w/o making it look cheesey. The slash and the badge will not make any sense..and will make it look like some older RWD models.

A simple 'R' will be r1cey..very r1cey. Almost nothing I can think of at this point...I did give it a few thoughts before when you first posted your pic.....

Hehehe..I'm just glad that mine turns out pretty decent. I like the smaller grille look on mine now...cleaner and meaner.

Hey Sean,
I ment to ask you when you e-mailed me about the car, but does your 3" downpipe cause any problems at all, i've heard that with our turbos a 2.5 is most efficient, what is your experience?
Also, where the hell did you get a 3" without paying another f'n grand on your car.

Thanks,
David

The SCT pipe works well flow is no problem, turbo spikes fast, part of the reason I went 3" is for future plans for the car larger turbo and such so it can handle more. The front pipe has the high flow race cat and the only problem I had to solve was a 4-4-3 code for TWC efficiency, this code sent the ecm a message to limit the boost to 5pounds HOW RUDE! The problem was that the O2 sensor holes were side by side, the second sensor that tells the ecm that the cat is working by coparing the front sensor reading to the rear one. Side by side that does not work on my year. The fix was to make a new hole in the proper spot, all is good now. A C70 in town had the smae system put on his car no sensor problems that I herd about. Oh well she works well now, the pic on my site shows the diff.
