So with a whopping 731 miles on the new xc we noticed the presets on sirius are not working. Once set the up/down steering wheel buttons do not stop at our designated preset stations. The system only moves to the next station. The presets do work on am/fm, however. Me thinks it is a trip to the dealer for some software tweaking. Thoughts, and yes we have thoroughly explored the om!

My experience is that on SAT the up/down on the presets is working as (poorly) designed. In SAT mode you have to manually hit the dash preset buttons. (Has anyone else here proven otherwise on this? I recall we had a whole discussion about this last year.)

The SAT integration in Sensus, quite frankly and IMHO, sucks (I also have problems switching between SAT, BT, and iPod...and I still don't have my IAM (Integrated Audio Module) update installed to TRY to fix it because my dealer couldn't get it to load within the timeout setting)...it's my one "big" complaint about my otherwise-wonderful XC60.

I agree with Drat19. the SAT up/down simply changes to the next station and not the next preset. To get the next preset you must press the numbered button on the center console that corresponds with your station.

I wanted to have it be the up/down buttons that works cause when I am in the NAV screen I would like to hit the up/down buttons to cycle through my presets to find my station without having to physically go back into Radio/Sat/make my selection/ then hit the nav button again to go back. WAY TO MANY DAMN STEPS.

Wow! I can't believe Volvo would engineer this feature out of the steering wheel controls. Makes no sense that FM/AM will toggle between presets with steering wheel controls but you have to take your eyes off the road to press a button on the console to use sat radio presets.

I'll offer a contrarian view: I liked it (I say "liked" because I did not sign up after
6 months since the fidelity was so poor). But what I liked is that SAT is organized
by genre. So if you are listening to a Rock station and hit up or down it typically
moved you (sequentially) to another Rock station (and I normally would change
channels to hear something different). But I agree, the expected functionality
would be to cycle between presets.
