This is my first time posting-a former Volvo owner wanting to get back to my roots-I am looking for a Volvo wagon that will remind me of my 240 DL Brick I owned until it hit around 210000 miles. I've been looking at the 850 wagons 1997-1999 (pre Ford)-without a turbo-and searching for one with low mileage to use as an everyday-can anyone offer some insight on what to be aware of/watch out for when looking and any general perspectives/comments on this model. Thanks! BTW I am in NEPA(NorthEast PA)

I am not really interested in the turbo models- but, anyway, what is the mileage on this one? Ideally looking for something with around 75000 miles.
Thanks,
1997 850 T5 48,300 original miles.
CarFax to prove it. No the odometer wasn't broken for 10 years.
The car is as perfect as can be, inside and out. One Owner from PA.
http://EuropeanMotorsVolvo.com

Sorry for the ginormous picture. Should have resized.
Closest thing to a 75,000 mile 850 I've seen for a while. Sorry it's not a wagon. But I do have an 89,000 mile wagon too...

That one is nice-too bad it is not a wagon. What is the wagon with 89000 ? I am still trying to figure out the right mix for the car. I know i need a wagon and essentially, reliability, safety, economy and speed are what I am looking for---thanks

Its a low pressure turbo and fits your requirements to a "T".

JRL also has a silver/tan 2000 V70 SE..... Still basically an 850 but with an updated appearance. 140k miles IIRC. Don't know when it will be ready but its a non-turbo.

I'd take a non-turbo 850 compared to a non-turbo S70 like the one I have. The 850 is a blast, even if I was just the passenger when I was a little kid. Still remember my dad pushing that nice little button called Sport on the highway ramps then flooring it.
Of course, a turbo is even better. Even at stock tune they're a blast to drive. Only problem is that the peak horsepower is like 5000RPM with the GLTs. I like to rev
