I have the new style power steering pump in my car, but it is time to replace it again. Does anyone know , for sure, if when replacing the new style power steering pump with another new style pump (plug n' play replacement) if the car still needs software?

I have a 2006 S40 T-5 AWD.

why are you replacing your pump 2nd time? it shouldnt need software update.
