So my power steering has had a slow leak for quite some time (I top it off once a month or so) and I figure I should figure out where it's coming from. Where do you guys see leaks the most often? I don't have any difficulty turning the wheel, it just whines during slow driving and turning.
'96 850 Turbo
Cheers

Easy,
Go to Napa and buy some leak detector. It will come in a small bottle and you will simply add it to your reservoir.
Before you do it, buy a couple of cans of brakeclean and clean all steering components really well. Simply follow the two lines from reservoir. One will go to the steering pump (serpentine belt driven), from there it will go to the steering rack. The other line from the reservoir will go straight to the rack.
Once everything is cleaned and dry, add the dye and let it run for some time. If it's slow enough, you may have to drive it for a few days. napa should have a dye that does not require a UV light to detect. The leak will appear obvious!
