Power Folding mirrors?

I would love having power folding mirrors on the S40. I have them on my XC90 and they are amazing. I love being able to flip them in with the touch of a button. <p>That being said, I don't believe that there is an option for our cars. The mirrors on our cars are packed full, and it seems that there would be no place to put the motor... although we do have an extra space for the power mirror button next to the STC <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/sly.gif" BORDER="0">

Is that on the 09s standard, or 04.5+? I'd expect it on the newer models...

You piqued my curiousity. I'm now all wet, and know that my mirrors do NOT fold in when I hold both buttons.<p>What are other features of the convenience package?
Hmm...well i checked and i guess i have the premium package and that's why i have them. But if you do have the power mirrors, you can program them to fold in every time you lock your car. Pretty handy! <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/biggrin.gif" BORDER="0">

the package includes auto dimming mirror, Homelink, heated seats, power headlamp washers, and folding side mirrors. there might be something else in the package... i will check my brochure when i get home.<p>so are the motors part of the mirror housing? do they just need to be wired up for you US guys?

It would be nice. I'll pop my mirror caps off and take a look. When I was in there replacing my side turn signal lights, I didn't see them... But again, I wasn't really looking for them. It would be nice if it was as simple as wiring them up, but I fear that it's not.<br>

I should really familiarize myself with the options and packages. Buying CPO I didn't really have a need to though.<p>I'm interested to see what all needs to be done to get this to work. For 2005 (Canadian) there was the Premium Package, Sport Package, Convenience Package, and Climate Package. My memory was a little off, the Convenience Package included Auto Dimming Mirror w/compass (T5), Homelink, Power child locks, Retractable side view mirrors, Trip Computer (2.4i). Most of these packages were available in combination with the others, and a lot of features were standard on the T5, although the Sport Package and Premium Package cancelled each other out. The retractable mirrors were not available without the package (according to the brochure). fairly confusing.
