I ran across a buddy of mine who does powdercoating and I got him to give me a really good deal on getting mine done. I would ideally love to just get different wheels all together but I'm a bit strapped right now. My question to you guys is...What color should I get them done in? I was thinking about getting them color matched to my car but that might be too much for me. I was also thinking about going a nice gunmetal, which i think would set them off a bit nicer. The wheels are hideous to begin with, I understand that, but for a temporary fix, it'll work! Heres a pic of my wheels (how I bought the car) (I know....horrible!!!)

Gloss black, gunmetal, another color, leave them alone, save $$ and invest in diff wheels

honestly, just keep them stock until you get the money for real replacements. use the money towards nicer wheels. its not gonna look good either way... if you powdercoat these, itll just look like youre trying too hard. well, just my opinion.

powder coat + OEM wheels = FAIL

Not necessarily IMO. Depends on the wheel. But I don't think your wheels are going to look any better powdercoated another color. Not to be harsh but they're pretty boring wheels IMHO. I say go for something aftermarket and more sporty if that's the look you're wanting.

I know there boring! I can't stand them! Thats why i was thinking of maybe changing them up a bit until i can afford the ones i want. Getting all of them done will cost me around $50 plus mount/balancing them again. Seems worth it to me for a temprary fix. Ill have a friend photoshop some different colors of the wheels on the car for me and see how they look.

instead of paying for the powdercoat, just buy 4 195/40/16's and the oem wheels wont look as bad, your car will be lower, and you'll lose weight on each wheel. then id say just give em a temporary rattle can job in the color you want. tires an paint cans will be like 350 all together if you get some khumo's or something cheapish

You should just sand and rattle-can the wheels if you are saving up for new ones.

x2!

Although, $50 for powdercoating really isn't bad. I'd leave those wheels as they are or paint them some really off the wall colour

changed my mind
if your definitely sure your getting different wheels later i would do something crazy
my vote is orange!!

duplicolor is a good brand i think if your going spray can, but honestly itll probly end up like 20-30 $
so its a toss up between powdercoat spray can. how much do you trust yourself not to mess up the wheels...

good luck

Save your money for nice wheels, then keep your stockers in the garage for road trips etc.

I agree, OEM wheels have potential, just not these ones.

Yeah pretty much, that and most touring/track cars like that stand out color for wheel choice.
