Hi,
I have a set of 17'inch wheels (my snow tire set-up) from the tire-rack that i'd like to have painted black. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this might cost me and a referral for me (ie: a company that has a good reputation for this type of work, in/around Denver) ?
Btw, I bought a set of GoodYear Ultra Grip snow tires and they are the best high performance snow-tire on the market...in my opinion that is. It is not the most aggressive snow-tire made, but it isn't intended to be...the first winter I had them on I was living in a ski town at 9K feet and we had the most snow on record, and I had no issues getting around....and still had fun when the roads dried up.

Re: Powder Coating (theR)

I thought I might've had a url saved in my favorites for this, because I've thought about it too. I didn't, sorry
I know there are a couple of places in the Denver area that will do this, though. Just look around, google.
I'm going to keep my eyes on this thread so that when I'm prepared to powder coat my 18" Pegs black, I will be prepared.

I had my wheels done at Spec Wheel up in Commerce City, and they did a good job, with a 3 day turnaround. I recommend them. I did have a chunk of powdercoat flaking off of one wheel within 6 months but they redid it for free without even hesitating. Other than that issue, they look as good as new 2 years and 10,000 miles later. They only do "reconditioning" so there's only one price, no matter how much work needs to be done. I paid around $110 per wheel which includes any repair, straightening, and paint.
Before that, I tried to have the wheels done at Mile High Powdercoating down in Englewood, and they sat on them for 5 weeks before I got pissed and asked for my money back.
