I do not have a Facebook account, never did and likely never will. Why does the comments section to all News articles require that a person who wants to post a comment have a Facebook account and log in?

Since I am a member of SwedeSpeed and other Volvo related groups), is or will there soon be a means to post comments to the News Pages without having a Facebook account?

Please consider and advise what alternatives exist. Thanks! Gary
