Like the title says. Just seeing if anyone is interested in a post Garage Sale ride. Also, ride suggestions / final destinations like for food or beer or maybe PIR late night drags.

I would definitely be interested! We could drive out 84E to Hood River and come back SR14 for some fun curves, anything sounds fun though.

How long of a drive is that? I need to be in Tacoma WA by 7:00. I already plan on being at the car show but timing might be an issue for me.

About 40 mins on the OR side and 45-50 mins WA side. We could stop at Skamania lodge? But they have speed humps http://********************/smile/emthdown.gif

Rogues
and Horse Brass
are 2 of my faves in Portland. Mcmanimans isnt too bad either. There is the one in Gresham where we wont have any car park issues. I havent found any great bars/pubs on my side of the Columbia yet....

If we're talking about a 2 hour drive total, then I might be interested. What time would you be leaving? At 3, when the garage sale closes. or earlier?

It would be cool if everyone could make the gtg , so we can all compromise on something that's close and get a fun drive in. Any suggestions from the locals? If none of you have experienced German Town Road then you're missing out. For a brew pub I think Kennedy School, Bridge Port or Rogue since they are all fairly close to IPD and have relatively good parking.

This doesn't necessarily have to be for just R's either. If you know anyone who is going the the IPD Garage Sale, in their Volvo, they should come too. The more the better. Also, if those said friends have 240s then I have a bunch of random stuff I'm selling. I'll be the guy in the Silver S60R selling stuff out of my trunk

German Town is fun, but might get a bit hairy with a bunch of cars.

Couple of popular options-

First Option about 3 hours
Leave ipd and head east on I-84, take the Lewis & Clark Park exit to the Old Scenic Hiway. The freeway ain't bad, but the old scenic hiway is more fun and put's you up close and persoanl with the scenery. Cross the Columbia river at Hood River and return on the Washignton side via hiway 14.

Here's a sampling of what's visible from the road on the scenic hiway.

Second Option about four hours
Leave ipd pick up hiway 26 to Mt Hood, Visit the historic Timberline Lodge and a nice drive around the back side of Mt Hood. Cross the Columbia river at Hood River and return on the Washignton side via hiway 14.

The view above is from the outdoor seating area at the Elliot Glacier Brew House in Parkdale. I hear they have excellent brew on tap..........

Oregon State Troopers aren't as hardcore as WSP, but they are out there!

Just some ideas!
