Hey,
I have a 2003 V70 that was not originally ordered with HomeLink. Is it possible to buy a HomeLink visor and install it? Are there other parts needed for HomeLink to function?
Thanks!

A hot lead (wire), it don't run by itself!
Not too difficult a job to feed a wire throught the A pillar.
However you may want to price out the visor and sit down while you're doing that.
(Oh and bend over too)

Re: Possible to install HomeLink? (JRL)

Oh yes, it's gotta have power! I was wondering if there might already be a power plug up there as standard. The visor itself is expensive!!! But, I was thinking of getting a used one.
If it's only a matter of running power I might take it on! I wasn't sure if the actual transmitter was contained in the visor or if it was just a controller for a transmitter located somewhere else.
Thanks!
