I mean.......

I think that Heico's response--while technically correct--is an exaggeration practically speaking. I've run 25mm spacers in the rear with NONE in the front and found that there was zero "nervousness" and negligible Increase in understeer. I can't count the number of people here who have used just rear spacers on all my digits combined. Have scarcely seen a negative report following.

Of course the choice is yours to make, I just fear that in doing it evenly in such a small amount, you won't achieve the change in stance you are after. But I could be wrong!

Ok, good to know! Have u seen P3 guys doing spacers? Tony said 10 on one side was great but those where different wheels, non OEM.

I have, but only on the S/V60s that I recall though I'm sure it's been done on a few of the P3 XCs as well.

I see now by looking that the difference in track is much more substantial on the P2 XCs which is interesting. Perhaps the difference will few more extreme in your case because of this? Maybe that is Heico's point. Won't know til ya try tho!

Appreciate the research as always... will order this week and pics follow. Also HEICO grill badge... I deserve that.

So it wasnt the driving why I got sick in the P2, it was the different width of the track! Thats why it rocked! You find the XC/car more stable after spacers?

I hate tuning!

Thank you, sir.

CC, there is ongoing work to the fascia board and front of the house, after which we paint. I'm doing that, too...so I may need to spend less time with the cars and more time with the house. But who am I kidding?!?

Update: you could try to bring back the red of the reflectors again?

(XC70 D5 AWD GT Polestar IPD Sway)
I don't want the red back!! I don't understand the purpose of those anyway

Let's just say the dip is probably thin on the bottom of the front valence. The rear one is much easier to do, But the angle of the front piece makes it tricky to keep the plastidip can upright. But no one really sees that part anyway, except for me ;)

It was a rhetorical question but I needed the answer so that when I dip I can fall back on it when I get angry! I get angry quick when I work on (Spray) cars... This helped. Hope to find some time this week. Dont have a garage dog-on-it!

Ps ordered the stig family stickers today! They look terrible but nice somehow...

At the moment: relaxed! (Me on Swedespeed... wife hates it)

Cool patio!!!

The Stig stickers get a lot of compliments in the States. Some parts of EU hate Top Gear (I hear), so keep a club in your car.

Update:

Dipped eye brows fog...side scuff...side strip doors...rear skidplate...front skidplate...rear reflectors. Still to do is aluminum strip on trunk and the grill. All went very well today.

BUT!!!!! --->>>

Dont like the side scuff black, dont like the side strip black. Yes...me no like. Peeled side strip again and trying to peel CROSS COUNTRY from the sidescuff to make the letters stand out. Tomorrow. If that looks great I keep it...if not I will also peel the sidescuff. The black makes the car smaller from the side somehow. Front and back happy! Front and back is a winner. Pics asap. Didnt expect this "side-issue"

Update pics front:

Cant wait for the grill! Did u guys take it out to dip? Or blew up a balloon behind it? Seen that too!!!

I concur! Ran 15mm on each side in the rear and still drove like a charm!

Was 15 per side enough to give it a nice look? Or would you say go for 10 per side to keep the classic look? Why didnt you do the front?

(XC70 D5 AWD GT Polestar IPD Sway)
15mm per side was fine. Not too much at all. And I had 235 tires instead of the standard 215. That helped as well to improve the wider look. Tried to find photo's but can't find them anywhere...

The front is already quite wide on the XC70. So didn't bother.
