My R has a new message for me "Posiiton Light bulb....." What and where is the Position Light? I walked around my car with lights on and could not find...however I was on the Interstate shoulder south of Binghamton NY at the time.
Did a 1400 mile round trip over a week (5 days at Saranac Lake). Car ran like a gem until returning to MD from NY (Adirondacks are so damn beautiful leaving them was physically painful) I was on I-81 going up and down Pennsylvania mountains in the fog and rain and it seemed like if I accelerated above 60 to 65 mph I would get these mini hydroplane effects evry 5 -10 seconds. It made me nervous so I slowed to 60 mph but felt humiliated with all the Priuses and Corollas and Ice Cream trucks passing me. I have Bridgestone Potenzas with plenty of tread left.
Anyone have any comments ?

It will probably be one of your tail lights, each side has two bulbs so if one is out you might not have noticed during your walk around

Check the archives or do a Google search.
Then check your tail lights and probably replace the faulty/dead bulb(s).
-Eric

They're bulbs. They blow out now and again. This just isn't (or shouldn't be) that big of a deal.
-Eric

The S60 has 6 rear position bulbs,3 on eaach side, if you droop the flaps in the trunk behind the tail lamps you find 2 light husing, the top one has 2 position bulbs in it they look like bullets, .45's to be exact. replace them then the housing below it has 1 more in it it lights up the side of your car thats probly the one thats out dude replace it. that bulb is going to be closest to the body..
alo wile your there replace the brake bulbs when doing the brake light bulbs start on the right side so you know witch one is your brake bulb on the left side casue you have the rear fog light on the left side

Re: (DGBibo)

I would say the rain traction depends on what Bridgestones you are running. Some are way better than others.
As for bulb position...is it a wagon or sedan? If it's a wagon, try slamming the tailgate shut and the message may go away. I get that occasionally and that's my solution.

Re: (T5 for Life)

Even if you have a sedan, try slamming the trunk lid...this worked for me the first time I got the message and I haven't had it again. I did have a bulb fail, but they are very easy to change if that is the fix. Good luck.

My VR had this last week. I found the left rear upper tail light loose in its socket! Re-seated it and all was bright again.
