Lowest I ever hit was one tank at ~17mpg in winter during cold weather. Tire pressure? OK

 

Just to confirm, you are calculating that yourself and not relying the the car's estimate? Because the Sensus feature is useless -- incredibly inaccurate and glitchy. I had it tell me for months I was getting 22.2 MPG -- never wavered (which is impossible). Then one day without me resetting it it was 0 MPH cumulatively. Now it's hovering around 7.5 MPG. All of it meaningless info.

 

correct, i get about 270 miles per tank and fill up with 17gallons = ~16mpg

 

Mine has been around what I was expecting 19-20 mpg. Sensus puts it at 1 mpg more than what I am getting on average.

I only use Chevron and Shell gas, 93 octane. Gas quality as well as the octane rating has a lot to do with mpg.

 

Have you changed driving patterns? Winter gas is starting to show in North America and it'll lower that mpg, assuming you are in NA.
My mpg has been going up over the 1,000 miles we've had it.

Also for me`, Sensus is consistent, if not accurate. It's consistently about 1.5 mpg higher than calculated. We religiously track fill up on all our cars (have an app).

 

No driving habit changes, if anything more freeway miles. Winter gas cause that big of drop? in california so the temps have only got into the mid 60's where im at at the coldest.

 

I have a T6 with Polestar. GasBuddy app says 20.4 mpg so far for me (Comfort mode). That's the average for the 3283 miles I have recorded so far.

And that's for a 90% city commute (7 miles one way) with 10% highway on weekends.

 

I consider myself lucky if I hit 20 mpg on a T6. I average only about 17 and have seen as low as 14 on a tank. It's my biggest disappointment so far.

 

Do you guys drive in Eco Mode? My wife's XC90 gets above 25 mpg on the freeway, sometimes close to 30. With one full tank we get around 450 miles

 

That's the reason I love my T8 43 mpg after 3,500 miles and going up
