EDIT 12-2-09:
None of the pictured ones are really in the cards right now, looking more at a mesh vent, a la Aston Martin. Ideas and opinions are still appreciated. Thanks!
Hey guys. Here is my current idea for my personal hood vents. Not something I plan on producing, just a one off using my actual hood. Too many projects, not enough time. Let me know what you guys think, and feel free to offer suggestions and ideas. Pictures of suggested styles/ideas appreciated as well. Sorry my photoshop skills are still lacking...please note my car will most likely be a satin black within the month , and that my custom lip is NOT finished as pictured.
If you think it is good but needs some work please post what you think can be improved, as I can't (currently) read minds...

Spaced out (very hastily, not nice looking chop)...

Only one vent over the air filter cone:

UPDATE:
Doesn't look like my vents would work unless placed differently, as shown by the underside of our hood:

like the idea, but I think the vents should be a little more apart... (edit: or closer together... not sure yet )
I really like the heico HS4 odin hood, although it is some kind of mitsubishi evo vent...

Re: (crossie)

How about now crossie? And dangit, now I have to do a closer spaced one as well. I'm mainly gauging how people like the specific vent style, spacing won't be an issue. I am just trying to decide if the vents themselves fit my car enough to get them: they are made for another type of car so the shape and size is pretty much set unless I find different ones...

Re: (V50_T5)

Can you guys see the 2nd pic I posted? For some strange reason I can't, didn't know if it was my weird connection issues I have been having...
The vents really aren't that big when you look at the size of the hood, and I am actually wanting them to be functional. The full plan is to have these near the front to pull air in, and little slit vents (similar to Evolves) on the fenders a little farther back to help pull/push the hotter air out...
And are the fender vents that are long rectangles what you are talking about Chrome, or something else? Pic?

Re: (carreragt7)

First picture with the vents closer together is perfect placement and style. The one thing I would change is, make the angle of the outside of the vents follow the same as the line of the hood. Does that make sence the way I said that? It makes sence in my head, but that usually doesn't mean anything in the real world. Lol.

Re: (crossie)

If you were to do something like offset vents like that, I'd make em functional and put it where the air would be fed right into the intake.

+1 for the fender vents.
And yes, it's an EVO VIII hood vent - my EVO friend said that immediately when I showed him the Odin kit.

Youll have to go fully agressive and unswede if you want to do this...but im fine with that
