Yes, I believe it says "Brandkår" - fire brigade - maybe for company #5? The lettering on the rear passenger door looks like Fire Chief. My Swedish is extremely basic.

Hi,
The vehicle belongs to 'Nerikes Brandkår (located in Örebro, Sweden - about an hour or so from Stockholm).
It is an 'Insatsledarbil', which loosely translates to 'Operations Chief Vehicle' (probably similar to fire chief....I'm not a firefighter, so tough to be exact).
Pretty nice ride.

Here in Belgium we use the XC90 also as primary response vehicle

My apologies for the very poor quality of the picture...but at least it gives you an idea what an XC90 ambulance looks like

Also in Belgium we have the XC90 as a police car.

 

We have a few Mercedes ML Police Cars/Trucks here in Ottawa. I've seen them a few times. Can't find any pics though.
