This seems earlier than the plan to build a new factory to make it. Looks like a high price / low volume car though. Wish it is below $100k.
Anyhow, the new P*3 and 4 will need a new factory unless they remodel the S90 factory for SPA2.

Polestar set to launch 3 new cars in China

Polestar is quite happy with the apparent success of the Polestar 2. So happy indeed that the brand will launch 3 new cars in the near future. They will be made in Geely's massive Chengdu plant in Sichuan Province in China and all are based on the new SPA 2 platform.

The first new car is a sedan code-named 723K, it is the production version of the Polestar Precept concept. Mass production will start in Q1 2022.

The second and third new cars are code named P519 and P419, which in real life will be called Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 respectively. They are both SUVs.

The Polestar 3 will share most of its underpinnings with the upcoming all-electric new Volvo XC90. It will have 558 hp, do 0-100 in 4 seconds, and have an NEDC range of 600 km. It will arrive in 2022 as well.

The Polestar 4 is a bit of a mystery yet. It could be a SUV-coupe variant of the Polestar 3.

Wow, I'm pretty surprised in today's market they're going to launch yet another sedan (and a potentially exclusive one at that) before their first SUV. Must be a pretty minimal investment given they've already build the prototype. Nice to see some potential stats for the SPA2 platform - eagerly awaiting the SPA2 XC90 BEV and they're going to need a step change in their current electric range to remain competitive. Just over 200mi on the XC40 isn't going to cut it for long, even if Tesla tends to underperform their numbers in the real world.

The body type to get good aero-dynamics should a fastback hatch kind of like V90. Don't know why Volvo or Polestar don't build it.
Maybe they will think again when Lynkco Zero sales is good.

CMA chassis unfortunately is heavy for EV. Hope SPA2 is less weight.

I Highly doubt that code-named 723K is the production version of the sedan Precept:
Acording to this document 723K will be produced as BEV and ICE. Not really in line with Polestar 100% BEV strategy.

SOP of P519 / Polestar 3: week 17 2022
SOP of P419 / Polestar 4: week 46 2023

Yeh, 723K looks like lineup of Volvo XC60 B5 B6 P8 models. Since this is the factory in Chengdu currently making XC60 and S60, make sense to keep building them. The capacity is only 30k cars. Maybe will also use other factory to share the production.

Precept can be built in current Polestar factory along with P*1.
