I tried to obtain a blue Polestar emblem for my '13 RD a while back. I ordered p/n 8640138 from an online Volvo dealer that supposedly had them in stock (which was supposed to be the Polestar Owner's kit that had the small blue emblem), but they instead sent me the updated Polestart Owner's Kit with the white emblem, p/n 31664358.

I believe @p.rico's placement shown in post #3 is the correct placement.
