Polestar is bringing the Polestar 1 to North America for the first time in August. The brand's debut will happen during Monterey Car Week.
"It’s great to bring Polestar to America," said Thomas Ingenlath, Chief Executive Officer at Polestar. "North America is a major market for our new brand and we have received great feedback and high interest in the Polestar 1 from our American customers. So far, nearly 200 customers have placed deposits in the United States alone – the largest number of any country. Now it’s their turn to see the car in person and in a beautiful environment."
The Polestar 1 will be put on display around Monterey during the event, which runs from August 23-26. On top of the Polestar pavilion at Pebble Beach, the 1 will also make an appearance at The Quail, an event that sees some of the rarest vehicles in the world on display at the Quail Lodge and Golf Club.
On the Sunday of Car Week, the 1 will appear with other exotics on the Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Ingenlath has been selected to be an honorary judge at the event.
The Polestar 1 is the performance brand's first car. The performance hybrid boasts 600 hp an all-electric range of 150 km.
