Ok... So i've been shopping for rims since my first post here, and can't seem to find a damn thing...
Found 2 rims that I like, but they were $660 a rim (no tire)... Anyone come across any nice rims that fit the C70 that aren't tremendously expensive?
I'd like an 8x18 or 8x19... 5 spoke or split 5 spoke... maybe deep dish...
I'd appreciate any help guys... I'm kinda frustrated at this point..
pics or links would be lovely...
Thanks!

large size rims that look good and are low cost is sort of an oxymoron
do you have any local tire shops that sell lots of rims? like the big places you can find fixed up cars parked outside??
go there, talk, and sometimes they can get you a good deal with some hagglin Good Luck

Good thought.... I don't have any around me here... but i suppose i will try to find some in syracuse...

And price isn't my main problem... it's the total lack of selection for our offset and bolt pattern... There are so many wheels that I love that aren't too expensive, but they don't meet our specs...

If money isn't your problem, try and talk to the manufacturer of the rims and see if they can custom drill our bolt pattern. I believe that's what Kai did.

Don't know how much longer you can wait, but I may be selling mine late November time...

They are mint condition with new tyres

Hey Topless, I actually like your wheels a lot now I have a closer look. It looks a lot like a pump'd-up Volan with those aggressive bolts around it. Very interesting...they look very nice.
What are you getting instead? I might be selling mine, too.

Well, I am only looking at the moment, but I think its going to cost me about a million pounds a year to run!
Problem is, with 0-60 in 3.9 and 450 BHP, there's enough power to snap the prop shaft and thats addictive
If I can make the ends meet, will probably go for it and therefore, these little babys will be on the open market!

These RKs shown above on the C70 look totally different (and far better) to me than the RKs posted in the "RX vs. RK" thread above (where the RKs are shown on a yellow Audi). In this pic (C70) they look awesome!
Perhaps it's just that when you look at them dead-on (as up above) versus from a sideways angle (on the Audi), they look different? (Or maybe every rim looks better on a Volvo than on an Audi? Tee hee hee. Kidding.) Either way, the RK above looks sweet.

Those 18x7.5 BBS RK are only 18lbs. each! They're about the same weight as the (heavy) 15x6 Volvo "Virgo" wheels that I have on my 240.

quote:
Those 18x7.5 BBS RK are only 18lbs. each!

18 lbs each, eh? That's 4 lbs lighter than HRE wheels. Man...choices, choices.
I'm just tired of this "special-one-off-wheels-only-I-have" bs. I'm sick of paying big $$$ for wheel repairs that won't even bring it back to 100% perfect look. With HRE, I can just ditch the wheel if it's ever damaged to the point where I need to spend more than $160, they can replace the outter rim for less than $200.
I don't know, still can't justify forking out $945 per wheel which is still not the lightest in the market.

I'd like to see some Porsche Boxster wheels on a C70.
Check with tirerack for exact weights on the RK because I got my info from a page that lists hundreds of wheels, and they've been known to be off by a little bit on some of them. I do know that they're light.

Re: (Lisa62)

I believe they just look better on the Volvo, especially a silver one. I personally dislike the RX because it looks like a bunch of tuning forks welded around the hub.
The RK is more aggressive, IMHO, and has five "V"s coming off the points of the central, pentagonal hub. It's definitely tricky on the eyes, but I think on a silver C70 it would look neat, especially in 18". That Audi has 17s... they look tiny.

Personally, I think that Comets look great on the C70, but unfortunately, they don't come in 18's or 19's. They are nice for showing-off some bad-arse brakes.

-Drew
