I'm a long time R owner but got to admit I'm fairly new to these forums.
I'm also sure that there probably are several threads on this topic...
However I've decide I want to add a few more ponies to my beloved 05 V70R MT and I got about $2000 to spend to do so.
This is my plan so far - ECU + Downpipe

I think I got the ECU figured.

However – I’m wondering about the downpipe.
It seems like IPD & Eurosport & Elevate are the major players here?
Would love to hear from anyone that has installed a downpipe on their R and any lessons learned?
Any turbo housing leeks, emission issues, strange error codes upon service etc. afterwards?

Thanks in advance

custom!!!! Lots of thread on what you will need and it's a few ten-percents cheaper than any of the aftermarket DP's. Many threads will be able to inform you on lessons and pitfalls. Check out the quick search thread that is stickied at the top of the R-forum page for how to effectively use google to find great swedespeed forums.

The OBX DP, available through ebay and their webpage is really cheap and many have had success with the part so far. Some are nervous about the quality, but for the price, you can go through two or three failed DPs before you have spent more than you would have with any other an aftermarket vendor. I cant comment on the OBX but others can chime in if they see fit.

Other than custom, I would go with a phuzzy motorsports DP. If you have a little bit extra, purchase the phuzzy power package which includes a FMIC and the DP for a really good price for the quality you get!!!!

The other DP's are all very expensive for what you get ($1000 for a few bends, a flex pipe and cat-converter is a lot). I built a custom DP with an electronic cutout for less than a few of the vendors sell just the DP.

It all depends on your budget, if you know a shop that will weld cheaper with good quality, that helps (I went with stainless steel just to get top quality but lesser metals can work too....just dont skimp on the flange thickness). Do some comparison between various quality and cost and you will figure out what your heart wants.

And elevate's tip looks like sh*t. I'd say iPd tune, iPd cat back, and OBX DP

Sent from my Military Air Portable
Well, he's talking about a downpipe, so the tip isn't so relevant, but I agree the cat back has a horrible tip...

+1, the elevate dp is pretty stout so I can see why it's more than competing dp's. it's 3.5" where others are 3", it certainly isn't cheap and you can certainly have one made cheaper. It also might be excessive...

there is a great photo (old) that has a tme, stock, and elevate dp lying next to each other and makes for a great comparison. i can't find it, nor can i remember the thread name.

I went tme originally, but currently do not have a dp. I haven't decided which way to go with my tme exhaust.

A Tune with DP chaser is a great call. As for which DP, meh they are all just pipes. Lots of people here like the cheapo OBX, but for me I would buy that Chinese crap.

I'd rather buy local or euro. May I recommend the iPd DP, its made here in Cali ;)

I vote for elevate tune, race S60r DP, and the IPD cat back

I'm practicing lots of self control not to buy the IPD cat back I keep telling myself I already have a cat back. But if there is some kind of group buy who knows. ; )
