By some miracle, today was a day that both of my vehicles were clean, so I decided to take a picture of both of them together.
Quite the contrast. I took a picture of the front end of each of them to show the difference in ground clearance.
Here we have the truck, with 8 inches of clearance.
Next we have the Volvo, with not much more than 3 inches of clearance.
The truck has so much power and so little weight in the back that I spent $15 on about 300 pounds worth of sandbags for the back. I'm sure this would solve the infamous side-hop issue in the R as well. And, nothing's cooler than carrying around 4 huge bags in the bed of your truck with the words "SAFETY SAND" on them. Like the commecials say, "Safety is Beautiful."
Profile shot of the truck, completely blocking out the car:
Profile shot of the car. Note how much higher you sit in the truck.
My dad really wanted to take some pictures of me next to them, so here you go. I hate posing for pictures.
I've been thinking that this car might be the last car I own for a long time. Trucks seem to fit my lifestyle better. They come in handy for hauling stuff and exploring all of the cool forest service roads around here.
If I were buying a truck right now, I would get this: http://www.fordvehicles.com/trucks/f150/harley
First AWD truck I've ever seen.
