Considering anthricite color for my V70. I am considering selling the chromed 17" Titans instead of repairing them. They are the light weight alloy and the roads here on the east coast won't be kind to them after they are repaired.

Re: Pict of 17" Satellite "R" wheel...also considering this one (83caddy16v)

Yeah when I didn't know what this set is called, I used to just call it the 17 inch version of the comet.
I love the Satellite much more than Titans. Titan looks great, but a bit too plain....or maybe it's just because I've never seen enough of the Satellite and it's in a way rare.

I picked up a foldable wheelguide from my volvodealer which awesome because it has all the names and sizes of the wheels that Volvo offers. Check it out.

I didn't know Swedespeed had this wheel section, pretty nice, just needs pricing . It has 15, 16, & 17" Volvo wheels
http://www.swedespeed.com/resources/gallery/special_cars/wheels/index.shtml
Re: Pict of 17" Satellite "R" wheel...also considering this one (83caddy16v)

shh, don't tell my wife, I ordered a set of 17" Satellite wheels in anthricite this afternoon. Parts guy gave me a good deal...well better deal, not that the price of Volvo wheels is a good deal by any stretch.
My chrome Titans are up for sale if anyone wants them. 2 are excellent, 1 has a slight bend but balances and the 4th has a good dent on the inside that won't balance. the chrome finish and wheel edges are mint. With the wheel on the back you can feel at 65-70mph. I'll post picts of them later, they currently have the tires off.
Dealer said the Satellites should arrive in a couple days, so hope to have them on by the weekend.

[email protected] Chris, you're going all out!!! The Satellites will look sweet. My wife's just happy there's no exhaust parts laying around...don't know how she'd feel with a bunch of wheels all over the place. And I know what you mean about the, "shh, don't tell my wife". If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the Satellites and how much are the Titans? Wish I had been able to make it to the GTG to check out your car and everyone elses. Hopefully they'll be another GTG soon that's closer.

Re: Pict of 17" Satellite "R" wheel...also considering this one (deleonl1)

The Satellites were $249 ea. It was going to cost $150 to refinish the Titans plus $75-135 to correct any bends. As much as I love the look of the Titans I figured even after I had them fixed the light alloy wheel might bend easily again. They are noticably lighter.
Not sure what I'm going to ask for them, I'm open to offers. You are welcome to swing by and take a look at'em if you are interested. One wheel really needs to be fixed, unless you don't mind a slight vibration--fine around town, just noticable on the highway. I had the tires dismounted from them but if someone local wanted the rims & tires I'd sell the tires with'em. They are Nitto Extreme tires with about 4k miles on them.
I wish I had $700!

The Satellites are awesome man. I know they have the R on them, but i was actually considering getting them for my C70. Any opinions? or should I stick with the 17" canisto's I have?

Or maybe you should get yourself a set of 18s for your car.

OOo 18's

Kai, i read that you polished your IC pipes. Was it hard to remove the black coat of paint? I've done the fuel rail, that was a pain in the arse. Is it gonna be that bad to polish the IC pipes? Thanks man.
-Bryan

Yup, selling my 18s in case you haven't heard me shamelessly advertising them whenever I could.
LoL~! We are talking about different IC pipe then. Check the pipes I have under the hood, and you will know why. They are not the stock one. I'm sure the stock one can be done as well. A bottle of trusty paint stripper should do the job, don't know if everyone has sand blaster or buffer.

Oh, i see now. Yeah they say the stock one can be done. I'm not gonna be able to buy your 18s though I wish i could. The local police department has postponed my modding plans for about a month LOL. I'm just in high school and dont have high income. I used a belt sander on the fuel rail, took the stuff right off, but that wont work for the IC pipes.

haven't thought much about a price. 3 balance, just the one is the issue. probably the $500-700 range. not sure what I'll do with the tires either, probably send them along with the rims.
