great tire, had them a few sets ago. only issue as with most high perform summer is that they got loud as tread life went down. good for about 20K for me.

Those tires look sick!!!

Are they still available?? I seem to remember looking for them a while back and not being able to find them anywhere.

I used to have them on my Alfa 156. The grip was great in both wet & dry and the car seemed to look better with them on...I don't know why!

Don't know how they suit an R though (although they still look great!)

Well, I went to the dealer to get new tires (they hooked me up like CRAZY on some other parts, I was (am) more than willing to give them my business as a result!! http://********************/smile/emthup.gif http://********************/smile/emthup.gif) and wanted to once again get my F1 GS-D3's... However, they are no longer available, and I ended up with Conti 3's. Damn good tire!!!

I will second the kudos for the GS-D3's, but also agree that they DID get much louder as they got older!!

I like them. Never had a traction issue, and sidewall very firm and bulging to protect rims. Increases the wheelrub noise, but not the amount. Still available at sears.

Yes, very firm and bulging, I said it.

is one of your tires mounted backwards?

D--mn, that's what I get for installing them in front of a mirror!

I have these now too (17s), like them a lot, would be sad to see them discontinued...

It looks like the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric is the replacement, at least on TireRack. Reviews for that so far seem similarly excellent, and again very well priced ($150/each).

Pino

What TME exhaust is this and where did you get it? Sorry if I'm a little off topic.

I purchased the exhaust from ipd at least 3 years ago. It went with the car when I sold it.
It does not look like ipd carries TME exhaust any longer

Noisy ass tire...I bought these as a package from Brabus when i got my mom new wheels for her S-class, would never buy them again...I have had best experiences with Yokohama and Continental.

*edit* I will give Goodyear less heat, putting into consideration that the Brabus wheels are 20's and i have yet to ride on 20's that ride as nice as an 18 or 19 inch wheel.

had those on my 17" comets.. eh was an ok tire.. Pilots better.

Pilots also cost a ton more, at least in 17 inch sizes at the time I've been needing to purchase. When you go through at least one set of summers per year running track events, cost becomes far more important.

I ran Bridgestone RE050A PPs before these Goodyears, I loved the RE050As but after two sets, they jumped in price so I went with the Goodyears after heading from another local R guy who loved them (JMN). I won't say the Goodyears are better than the Bridgestones, but they are both excellent IMHO.
