Anyone have pics of their VR with or 18' (or larger) wheels and/or lowered. I want to get an idea of what the wheel gap look likes...I'm debating getting 18's when I lower the rear of the car. Also, I know the wheel rub will increase, but any personal experience on that would be great too. Thanks.

LOL, I can't believe I missed that, 18 ft wheels would be CRAZY!! That's a little embarrassing for me as I make maps all day where I have to distinguish between feet and inches like that...speaking of that better go back and check that last map I made...

Thanks PeteW. That's good info to have about the 18's...making me rethink my choices...maybe I'll just keep the 17's and get something different than the peg's. Do you think that IPD's 18's would have the same problems as the OEM ones?

Roads here are very smooth, so smooth in fact I can drive in Advanced on my whole commute and not lose any fillings.
While the roads are smooth, I don't have all the money in the world and if I made an investment in wheels they gotta last so the advice is much appreciated...I really like those BBS wheels BTW.
Another question, are the 17" (got it right that time ) Pegs considered to stronger than the 18" Pegs?
BTW: Nice collection of R wagons there PeteW

Those tires look gooood on that VR, but I can only imagine the wheel rub they must cause!
I just inflated my tires the other day, only went up about 2-3 PSI, but I can totally feel the difference. Any idea what 39 PSI cold works out to be when hot?? I'm at 41 PSI hot.

Re: Pics of 18' wheels on the VR?? (atacamaR)

I ride my 18s at 39psi and have yet to bend one. However I am a pothole avoiding grasshopper.
I swear someday I'm going to get pulled over for suspected drunk diving because a cop will see me dodging road holes like a mofo.

The wheel well gap is going to be almost exactly the same, whether you go with 17 or 18" wheels, since the side wall of the tire you want to use will change inversely as you increase wheel sizes.
It does, however, serve as an optical illusion, such that the wheel itself looks bigger and will draw your eye away from the wheel well more.

Plus 18s just look way better, hell, 19s look damn good too.
If your wallet is endless I would go 19s.
