Picking up a 90 740 GLE non turbo with blown head gasket

for $650!!

1 owner, 190,xxx miles

Im picking this up to do some major commuting in. Planning on first fixing the head gasket issue then drop some performance in. Just trying to get it running strong before I do anything else.

Im a Rover guy so not unfamiliar with fiddly electronics...
Is this a difficult job or fairly straight forward.

I don't think it overheated badly so I probably wont have the head machined.

Anything else?
