This all went down Friday night at Phuz's place. I have been lazy and just took pics today. The car is dirty, deal with it

While Phuz did the vast majority of the work, I painted my rotor hats. I brought a drill with a metal brush attachment to get rid of the rust, but I could not get to all areas with it, so I stopped using it. I painted over the rust, which is not noticeable. By the time it is potentially an issue and starts making the paint look like crap, I will end up replacing the rotors. They look 10x better than before, but it did take some time. I recommend a 6 pack of your favorite beer on a nice day, and just take your time. You can spray onto the rotor surface, the pads just chew the paint off.
As far as the FMIC install, I ended up doing the typical dremeling to save time. I cut the bumper, radiator support, and the bracket on the AC compressor. There is a lot of work involved installing the FMIC, but Phuz made it look easy. He has done this many times and even with us shooting the poop, walking to get food, drinking a few beers, and watching some videos on his laptop, it took about 4.5 hours.
And for ****s and giggles:

Re: Phuzzy Motorsports FMIC kit (PhMIC) and painted rotor hats (GiRaff3)

Nice pics, but PLEASE resize and repost. Very hard to read.
As stated previously, the black trim and stripes ties the wheels in nicely, sort of the inverse of what the other guy was trying to do with his white wheels on a black car, he just had nothing to tie the wheels in.
Take the 10 minutes to open up your passenger fog light grill, really improves the look and it will match. You can open up the outer grill section on both as well. Simple touch but I thing it looks a lot less cheap and plasticky.

OMG!! If you;re not going to replace your headlight wipers, why bother with anything else. Shoot, u should drive that perfect R off a cliff because you have burnt up headlight wipers
LOL, JK dude, yours is one of the cooler Rs I've seen around here, how you liking the PHMIC?

Made the pics a bit smaller.
The FMIC makes a difference. I have not had much time to drive in the heat without it, but the car never feels out of breath and it did a few times before.
I am ready to get my ECU tune now

What do these cost, and how many hours would it take a good mechanic to get a Phuz installed?

the rotor hats really do not draw that much attention unless you are looking for them
I appreciate all of the positive comments

The hats aren't my flavor.
The rest of the car with the black trim, black wheels and silver is oh so sweetness!

My goal was to get rid of the rust and keep it from coming back, and I accomplished that. I hope that others will be motivated to paint theirs because 95% of R owners have to deal with the rust on the rotor hats.

I was having some issues with them and blamed the tire. They do have some road noise, but I was also getting excessive vibration. I got an alignment, didn't help. Come to find out, the place that mounted the tires on the wheels completely jacked it up. The guy who rebalanced for me said that he had to reposition and change the weights on every wheel. He said one wheel was off by a lot. As soon as I got the car back, it felt MUCH better and now, finally, I am happy.
I can say that if you can deal with road noise, Diamondback tires are much cheaper and they have done the job for me so far.
