Anyone know if these fit our engines? Very little seems to have changed in the late 5 cylinders...

Sent QBM an email, we'll see if they have any idea.
If its not the same engine its dam close.

168 hp B5244S on the S70. We have the B5244s4.

It might not work for the T5 but if it fits the NA engines of old we should be set. Great find sanatarium. With our intake manifolds sitting over the engine should be very useful.
Re: Phenolic spacers (sanatarium)

I have a T5 intake gasket right in front of me and it looks nothing like the one they have. Well, besides the 5 hole opening. Even that shape is different.

Pics!
I'm interested in how the T5 intake gasket looks like. I figured the T5 would be pretty similar to the 2.4i just because its only for the s40 just like the 2.4i. Maybe volvo did alot more work then I thought.
Re: Phenolic spacers (zerocover)

As you can see, I haven't removed it from its wrapper.

Re: Phenolic spacers (volvoNB)

The 2.4i runner-block gasket looks a lot like the QBM insulator. There appear to be a lot of similarities in the B5244S4 and B5244S(obviously) but the B5254T3 appears to be more along the lines of the R motor...

Make sure you hit us up when QBM emails ya back! I could go for 3-4 more HP!

Do they mention how much this spacer costs?
Re: Phenolic spacers (s40boy)

$95.

Pretty damn steep. Should be about $50 IMO, even for such a low volume part, they're taking a decent chunk....
Re: Phenolic spacers (sanatarium)

That is pretty steep!

I nominate Jason to be the dummy for testing and actual gains! You have access to dyno or any other method of measuring gains? If you do, I'd say we start a $5 donation for a common research fund. $5 from everybody to help cover the dyno costs...

Only reason I say this is because I think Jason said he already ordered one!

Having owned an S70, I'm almost positive it wont fit.

BTW, don't expect a response from QBM. The owner (Greg) has been battling cancer and hasn't kept up with his site. This is also why he simply sold his inventory (and probably designs as well) to iPd.

Just FYI...
Re: (BtownVolvo)

Nope, haven't ordered it yet. On to iPd, maybe they can help.
