Hi Everyone,

When decoding the VIN (V90CC 2018), it shows a feature called "Perimeter Alarm".

I couldn't find anything about this in the manual, does anyone know how exactly would this operate?

The sales folks don't know, and there is no alarm triggered when approaching the vehicle or even trying to open doors without a key.
Sure, opening driver door with the metal key in absence of disarming will trigger the alarm, but for me that is not "perimeter".

Perhaps the VIN decoder is mistaken? (although all other detailed listed options were 100% correct for my car).
I used this https://volvoforums.com/forum/vindecoder.php

Not a big deal, I'm just curious.

Thanks

We have a 2018 V90CC.
I believe the Perimeter alarm refers to the sensors that detect something when getting close to an object - driving into a garage, high curbs, lamp post, another car etc.

OP nice VIN decoder. It got almost everything right for my XC60 except the fuel tank size.
