I have an Elevate rear sway bar. It was nicely designed but the spacers provided were too big which made the bar rattle until we filed down the spacers to equal the width of the bar they sat in.

VIVA sells a larger intercooler from do88 which could potentially be helpful. Or you could buy a Polestar intercooler off someone who bought the do88 intercooler, heh. I might know a guy...

Hello, just bought a 2016 2.5 T5 AWD and for whatever reason Polestar isn't applicable for this model. Does any have any performance upgrade ideas and/or sites to check out?

Any experience with Elevate products, see link below, under Engine Upgrades - Volvo V60 (2011-2017) - Store | Elevate Cars
Alright, there are so many options that you can go with, but it all comes down to what you want to do with your car? How do you want to modify it? Like do you want it to make more hp, or do you want it to make more noise, do you want it ride stiffer, do it to handle better?

So you main companies for the VOLVO side of things are, KT4 PERFORMANCE (SUPER HIGHLY RECOMMENEDED!!!! TELL THEM THE_XC60PROJECT SENT YOU AND THEY WILL DEFINETLY TREAT YOU LIKE ROYALTY!), IPD, ELEVATE, H&R, DO88, POWERFLEX, ERST, SNABB. These are your main companies. ViVA Performance, is like a middle man, they sell everybodies stuff. I personally like to use ViVA as a hub, all the information is in one place, I like to go on there and see everything that is available, then I go to the individual companies from there.

Now here is a little piece of information that's kinda cool! The mid 2010's Volvo 2.5L turbo I5 engine, is the same engine that FORD used in the 2011 Focus RS/ST. So all of the physcial modifications and parts that you can get for a I5 Focus, will work with your I5. I don't know if that information is helpful to you or not, but it is very interesting.

If you are interested, I have made a few in depths answers about modifications in some threads on the P3 cars. Just let me know by replying to this, or DM me, and I can attach links to everything.

Thanks for all the information! At this point, I'm interested in engine performance, nothing crazy, like modest gains, but installing quality and reliable parts that won't decrease the reliability of my engine and up gas mileage. I use the car regularly, but want some extra power under the hood. I was looking at this Elevate stack:
1. Turbo Wastegate Actuator
2. Dual Port Compressor Bypass Valve
3. Turbo Control Valve
4. Performance Inlet Manifold

Wondering how this all would affect my performance together. Unfortunately, I'm in Canada and shipping is a bit expensive.

Skip the TCV. The stock pierburg type is more than sufficient. Other options you listed are good. Spend that money on intake pipe and a good gauze drop in filter. Drop Don an email when you order and ask if he can help you out a bit on the shipping. Explain your situation he's a very reasonable guy and might give you a bit of a break.

Thanks! So, provided I add the above, I could expect better performance and overall function of the engine and turbo?
Once tuned yes. Are you auto trans?

DEFINITELY go with elevate parts, from my experience that are amazing.

Tunes (Hilton/TDI) are good from what I've heard

Kt4 has been very hit or miss with the 2.5t I5

Ok, so right off the bat. #1 and #3 aren't necessary. The wastegate isn't really necessary, unless you are pushing big big power, and you are noticing an unstable amount of boost, or the boost not getting held constantly. The Turbo Control Valve, don't get it. IPD makes one, and people usually end up switching back to the stock one after 1 month. The stock ones do a great job, and nothing really wrong with them. I know that ELEVATE recently released a new turbo control valve, but I have no idea how good or reliable it is.

Now the dual port valve, will get more noise than performance. It might hold boost a little bit better, but you will get more noise from it. That's what you will notice the most. The inlet manifold is a good one! I 100% recommend getting the ELEVATE inlet manifold! While your ordering from him, and we have knocked 2 things off your list, I recommend you also purchase the cold air intake from ELEVATE. That will be a great combo with the intake manifold!

I'm in a similar planning stage to modifying my 2014 S60 with the 2.5L. I'm leaning towards the Hilton tune after doing the Do88 intercooler and intake. I know the older versions of the 5 cylinder had some issues with cracking the cylinder sleeves under higher than stock boost and I was wondering if that issue had carried over to the B5254T12 engine. I know the S60R guys have discussed this a lot but I haven't seen much talk about cracking on the P3 chassis.

I haven't heard of any issues with cracking on the P3 I5 engine.
