I just finished with the seafoam cleaning in my new ride. When I purchased the car the previous owner told me how mch he took care of this car. I was so impressed with some of the things he said I figured I wouldn't have to do anything for a long time. So I just changed my oil and filter, and while I was under the car i figured I would check out the fuel filter. Bam he was full of $hit. It was the very one from the factory. So another trip to the auto parts store. When I removed the filter it looked like a river in a foreign country. Also the air filter looked very original at 77k. WTF Dont people understand normal maintenence. Anyway waiting 3 days for a new air filter, but new filter, seafoam, and synthetic oil change the car woke up.

Any info on the gauges that mount in the blank space by the sunroof. I saw them once on a car on utube and loved it. Dude you have an Rkelly intake wasnt he indicted for something recently now you have him under your hood.

Re: (tomedkaz)

F65613 Purilator. It takes 10 Min. I am not sure if you know how to install it. There is a pressure release valve. unthread the cap and push center valve with a small screwdriver. (watch your eyes.) Next push line in toward the filter and push in white tab, holding the tab pull line away from filter. Do this on both lines. Unbolt the filter bracket. Reinstall the filter and bracket. push both lines on the filter untill you hear the click. you should need no tools to push lines on the filter.

A definite improvement and a very easy fix. If you do it, I found it helpful to use a straight edge to slip between the original TCV and the hoses, especially the red one. This breaks the seal that forms over so many miles/heat cycles and makes it easier to pull the hoses off.
