I am installing an Escort SRX in my 60R and was wondering if anyone had advice as to where to pass through the firewall?

Re: Penetrating Firewall (martynunya)

parallel the shifter cables which you can easily access by taking that panel off along left side of console.

Slightly left above the clutch pedal is a passthrough. It is burried in the isolation material so you need to search for it. There is a rubber cap in it which you need to cut through to get wires through it.
Cables will enter the engine bay behind the driver side shock tower underneath the ABS and brake booster crap so it can be a bit difficult to reach.

Yap, to remove the grill. Just pop off the 6 clips, in the middle, at the top of your front piece, just inside under the hood above the grill. Then just bend it up a couple of inches, just enough to get your hand in behind the grill. There are four tabs (I think?) on the top rear of the grill. Be forceful, but gentle at the same time, so as not to break the tabs. Just push down, to unlock, each one of these tabs, then push the top of the grill out/forward. Once the top four tabs are unlocked, the top part of the grill will tip out/forward then just lift it out.

Much easier to re-install, just push it in straight and all tabs will snap it in.

Contrary what others might say, you don't need to remove the front to remove the grill. Hope this helps
