Buckling it in can give you a higher repair-bill if accident -> belt-tensioner will go off and lock the belt and if I recall it's not just a VADIS-click to "unlock" it anymore.
2nd...you passanger can get lazy and will not use the belt so just sit in seat unsecured
Design fault (you didn't called it that way but you were thinking of it)?!?!?!
all car's have THAT rattle when the iron-key hits the plastic B-pillar ... I call it a lazy-uncareing-passenger that just unlock the belt and gives sh*t about your car
... or you, I always check the belt(s) after the passenger(s) left
coz I know it will hit the B-pillar if not rewinded correctly.
