APK here in Holland is like an MOT in the UK, not sure what they're called in the US or Canada, basically a manditory checkup for each vehicle according to opperational and environmental requirements.
I also had a full inspection (over 100 points or so) and she passed all... just. According to APK requirements, all dash lights must go off after the engine starts, but like so many over 70 series cars, my ABS and Tracs lights remained on during the check up, which doesn't happen all the time, hence the initial failing. So I crossed my fingers when proving to the mechanic that it doesn't happen all the time, and lucky for me, they were off, so he passed her.
Much needed as I will be driving 1100km to Poland on Saturday and then 10 days later driving all the way back, and in this crazy heat wave we're having, its the ultimate test! Autobahn, here I come! BWAHAHAHA!!!
