About 500kms after getting my oil changed I noticed down the front of my block was "wet".
Upon further inspection I noticed this breather hose that sits right behind the oil filter was split.
I am pissed because a tech probably split it on me, or if he didnt, he DIDNT notice.

Anyways I need to fix it.

I THINK it is number 4 in this picture: (but hard to tell)

#4 is the oil pickup inside the sump.

If it's the hose that runs to the top of the cylinder head, it's quite common for these to go bad. There was even a tech note on it for Volvo dealers.

Yep...very common problem man. I noticed mine was broken as well, so I had it replaced. Then about a month later, I got the PCV whining noise and had to take it in to get replaced. Remember, if you have to replace your PCV, depending on your mileage you'll be able to take it to the dealer to have it replaced under warranty. I had mine done at BK.
