Re: Painting the bumper (xtremepsionic)

I think it was regular automotive paint with a mix of some flex agent. Should be the same as the paint on your front spoiler. Flexible parts will crack when bending the paint if the paint won't tolerate bending. The priming may be a different story though. Especially if you want to fill in the texture on the plastic trim. You can see on his it isn't perfectly smooth, but it does look great from farther than a really close look. He got all his trim done for maybe under $200, but he was also getting his door redone since his neighbor ran into it. He quoted the trim job under the table and insurance paid for the door, basicilly, the if I give you the business for this, what price will you give me for that approach. His Accord doesn't have the gray bumbers either, but it did have plastic colour side skirts that is full colour on the 850, so it should be close. Just drive up to a bodyshop and ask for a quote, go to all of them in your area to be competitive.

LOL! ya, maybe.
I wounder if 1st gen S70 trim will fit on the 850? The different shape turnsignals dont touch the trim in question, wounder if any of the mounting hardware is different or will it fasten/snap right on? That would be the best IMO, all painted originally in Volvo paint.
