Considering ordering Evolve's tail light trim and painting them myself due to a leisurely one summer class (genetics) schedule. How does one go about painting something like this in order to make it match the car and not be fugly. Also I searched the archives and recent posts (in advance) to see if I could find any help in finding paint, but the threads only take about touch up paint kits availble from the dealer. TIA

as long as you sand, prime and paint it carefully, it should be good. I can't find it right now, but there are several vendors that sell OEM paint so you can do projects like these. I'm sure someone will be able to find a link.

Re: Painting Tail Light Trim (NYCS40)

Paintscratch.com sells oem colors of paint in spray on applications of all sizes. There are several people on the forum who have used their paint to paint trim kits and other misc. parts on the car.
