painted the FRP gauge pod but I can see some SMALL/MINOR scratches in the primer through the color coat. what grits of sandpaper will even these out? and what methods are recommended? <p>The highest I went was 320 in between coats and It seems like I just gouged a small area with the lower grit paper.<p>any help appreciated...I was trying to get in touch with my painter friend but hes MIA.

Should have used 1500 grit

Thanks im going to go up in grit to 1500. Do you think the 1500 would be enough to smooth out the little scratches? or should I step it up gradually?

I have painted my vent gauge pod and had to do it with 2000 wet sand. Make sure it dries well before painting or the paint will crack<br>

cool.<p>just talked to my paint buddy he said 600 wet will even out the scratches and then 1200 wet should leave it good enough.<p>2000? how did it come out?
