To put the pad back on the underside of my hood, I need to cut holes for the vents. I could actually only do the driver's side if I wanted I suppose.

Anyway, is cutting holes in that pad a bad thing? How about only cutting a hole in the driver's side? Is it waterproof?

if you cut holes in the pad I would get some alluminem tape(heat resistant) and create a frame arount the hole's edges to keeo it from fraying and making a mess. You could prime and paint it black before you peal it off the paper to keep it all black if you need to.

Re: (R_Rated)

After having the Evolve hood grille installed, I realigned the pad cut making it a little larger than the interior hood cut. Then I painted the hood interior, between the top and lower sheet metal with black spray paint, and applied a heat resistant industrial grade silicone to the liner's edge and glued it to underside of the hood. It was worked very well no problems with water or anything else.

I know I can not take the liner apart without cutting the silicone but it is not a concern to me.
