Can anybody help ?
I have just taken delivery of an S60D5 with the best ICE that Volvo listed - the 13 speaker "premium".
Trouble is, that being an audio specialist / engineer I'm less than happy. The low bass is simply far too excessive and makes for that awul "boom" instead of a firm bass level I'm looking for.
Additionally, the panel mounted bass control has a marginal effect, but operates at higher bass frequency (more like mid bass) than the problem I'm experiencing.
Clearly, it has been designed to sound impressive, as someone at Volvo has turned the gain up way too high in the 150hz and lower region.
any fixes anyone ??

Appreciate all help
STEVE

Modified by clubsport911 at 12:32 AM 3-17-2006

Re: Overblown and excessive bass on Preimum sound - S60D5 (clubsport911)

Hrmm, this is interesting, as P2 2005 owners (which have the same audio offerings) have complained about the opposite issue.
Insufficient bass all around, except at very high volume levels, ever since Volvo switched the head units in MY 05- vehicles.
