I'm almost at 150k and am going to do the pcv on my 04 2.5. Here's what I have so far, can anyone tell me what I'm missing?

8692211 oil trap
30677388 hose (trap to crank case)
8692217 hose (trap to head)
8653339 lower trap grommet
9458534 intake gasket

11994 4x copper washers

And I saw in a kits parts list that they include these size hose clamps, 22-32mm, 11-17mm, 13-20mm, 40-60mm 7mm wide

I think I'm going to order a few feet of various silicon vacuum hose too.. I guess 2mm to 12mm in 2mm increments so that I know I have everything I need if anything is dry rotted. Anyone know which sizes are in there so I'm not ordering any i don't need?

Might also order a throttle body gasket, believe it's PN 8636753, good to get it off and fully cleaned. And the thin tube (Tygon) on the water jacketed assembly if you're not replacing the whole part, most break when you're trying to get the tube assembly off. 12Ounce had a good description towards the bottom of this link- http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread.php?169899-Full-PCV-Service-B5254T2-(2-5T)

Maybe want to also verify the trap to crankcase hose, it changed part numbers somewhere in 2004 (I think). Just to be sure, check your Engine Number (should be a barcode sticker on the outside of your timing belt cover) . Hose is PN 1271653 for engine numbers below 3138170 and PN 30677388 for 2.5l engine numbers above 3138171.

Do lots of reading about the little tricks that can make this job easier (XC90, XC70, V70, S60, S80, anything with a B5254T2 engine in it) and give yourself plenty of time if it's your first time doing it.

Good luck!

Hey thanks a lot. I already have a throttle body gasket because I was going to clean that but realized it would be easier to take the intake off and if I do that I'm going to do the pcv too. I'll check out that thread as well as the crankcase hose.

I work from home right now so I don't need the car immediately so that gives me a good buffer in case I have to get more parts or whatever else.

I'm also considering dropping the oil pan and cleaning it out, do you know of any good write ups on doing that?

Looks like a whole bunch of nothing to remove the sump and replace, except for the liquid gasket application (PN 1161059, guess you could use some other manufacturer). PM me and I'll send you the job.
