I am an owner of a xc60 MY18 D5. After 82000Km, one day I lost power and the turtle message appears. I can't drive any more and the car was towed to the dealer.

After 1 week of searching, they told me that the problem is in the cylinder head and the valves. Tomorrow they open the head to search if there is a damage in the body of engine and if there is a problem with that, they change the engine. If its ok they change only the head.

Do you have any idea what they gone wrong only after one and the half year of use. For diesel motor 82000km is nothing.

They told me that the head or the motor is in the guarantee, and all the cost is free of charge,

Thats ok for me, but .... it will be ok after that major repair? Don't forget that we talking about a 60000€ car.

Thanks

D5s have been around for a long time as I recall. Should be well documented. Good luck with your new engine. I know it sucks.
